for a classy knife, i've always like the looks of the al mar hawk (or al mar osprey, which is basically the same knife but smaller). i prefer the regular models, not the ultralights. been meaning to get one for a long time. $80 to $130, depending on handle material.

here is a member's hawk (handle available in many other materials):

i have seen a few of those but they were all very low quality, dont know if there are any good ones out there.

i do recall seeing semi-custom pen knives advertised in blade but that was years ago. they looked really neat and i wanted to get one but damn i can't remember the maker. if memory serves, they used the fisher refills and had nicely turned bodies in a few different materials. very classic "james bond" in my opinion.

Before you buy one, you might want to check the laws in your state. In some states these are not legal
