Been using the uniballs abut wondered if there were some decent gel pens or gel refills for other quality pens? Anyone have any?

Clay - I haven't seen any aftermarket gel refills for quality pens so far. If you want gel, you're pretty much stuck with the disposable types at this point in time. If you wanna go this route, I like the Uni-Ball Gel Impact and the Pentel Hybrid Gel Grip DX.

I'll second those Uni-ball gel Impacts. Nice, broad mushy line. They don't make too many like that anymore. Absolutely the best non-fountain pen for signing your name. Or is there one better?

Not too many! If you like the Gel Impacts, try out the Pilot Precise Deluxe Bold. It's a liquid roller with a 1.0mm ball. Also, the Uni-Ball Vision Elites are among my faves too.

Pilot Precise Deluxe Bold. I will definitely have to get one of those. Thanks.

I won't be happy until I find a 2mm roller.

The pilot G2 refills will fit Waterman rollerball pens with no modification and will fit some others with modification to the length of the refill. If you are willing to enlarge the opening of a pelikan refill a G2 will also fit it. If you are interested details can be found in the alt-collecting -pens-pencils newsgroup. Yafa sells gel refills that will fit the Parker Jotter pen or compatables.

Yeah, that's the only bad thing about the Gel Impacts. Guess the 1.0mm ball lays down a lot of ink. I guess that's why they sell them 5 to a blister pack! Best bet is to buy the refills...much more cost efficient than buying new pens.
