Jay, I've tried the link several times and it does not work for me. Could you please check it? Thanks. RL

I am currently having a Case peanut rehandled by a company called ANCIENT IVORY STUDIOS they deal in a lot of ivory products and they do scrimshaw but you would need to contact them to find out all the details. Good Luck

Alain, actually, its interesting, I am making a Beauchamp hunter right now and that is the one I was thinking of having scrimmed. My blade spine is not quite as curved as those I have seen of his but I am patterning it after his.

I think I'll get in touch with Jay's guy first.

Thanks Alain. RL

Not knocking anyone else, there's alot of good folks out there but, John's one of the best I've met all around.

Jay, I'm a thank'n ya too. I just fired off an email to him. I also gave him a link to pics of the knife you have now (the cave bear). I don't know if he could do anything with it or not but I asked him to look at it and give me his opinion. It's the Beauchamp I'm making now though that really got me thinking seriously about having scrimmed. I am hoping its' tusk ivory scales will be without natural cracks and I am making it from ivory with no bark.

I have looked at all the leads you fine fellows have kindly given me. I thank you all very much. I just wish George would get back to me with a contact number or email for that 'I love You' girl :) :D :) .

Thanks, all. RL

Laurence; I am just a big old kind hearted slob, down deep inside, way down deep inside.:D :D :D

She isn't in work today and they wouldn't give me her home number. She only goes in when they have work for her. She will be in tommorrow after 11:00am.
