Any great assisted openers out there?

I have become addicted to assisted opening knives such as those used with Kershaw's "speedsafe."

Are there any other knife companies that produce assisted opening-type knives that are as great a value as what Kershaw has to offer? I remember seeing some but the cost was simply too high. That $50~ish price point is just adorned with great knives like the Leek and Blur, what else is out there?

benchmade makes a lot of assisted openers if you're willing to break the cheap price point for better quality.

CRKT has a few AO folders. I carry a CRKT Hissatsu folder, and I LOVE it.

Nope, that's pretty much it. The Speedsafe system is probably the best A/O out there. SOGs are a little flimsy, and CRKT's A/O has a tendency to open in your pocket (happened to me). Take a look at all of Kershaws offerings, including discontinued ones and new ones. You'll find some great designs over the years.

Zero Tolerance 0300. it uses the speedsafe spring assist. i picked one up a little while ago and am in love with it.

SOG has a few. Aegis, Flash 1 and 2, Trident to name a couple. They are not "heavy" use blades but should be pretty good for EDC useage. A lot of youtube knife reviewers seem to like them such as Nutnfancy, cuterlerylover, and WeAllJuggleKnives.
