Any great knife deals at Walmart?

I was thinking of stopping by today to pick up something good but relatively cheap (<$50). I picked up a Spyderco Native for $39 a few weeks ago and really love it. It's my new EDC.

Anything else in the same value category? I saw some discussion of a Kershaw Ken Onion Folder, which looked nice but I am not sure I love the recurved blade. I have the Kershaw Echo and it looked similar.

Thanks for any leads. Happy Long Weekend.

The wesern Florida Walmarts don't have the Native. They do have the Kershaw Storm II for $30 though. Also check thier web sales as some deals are available only through internet sales.

I got a kershaw blackout there. nice knife, I think it was 40 or so. They have generally pretty good prices, but a lot of low end stuff.

I have yet to be lucky enough to ever see one of those WalMart closeout deals that everyone else seems to get. You know, the "I picked up six buck 110's in the closeout bin at walmart for 5 dollars each"

I bought a Kershaw "Tactical " Blur at Walmart ( it's the black version with the tanto blade) , I think it was 49.00.

The Storm is an excellent knife for the incredible price of $30.00. I'm still amazed at the level of quality for the price ( but I didn't get it at Wally's)

Kershaw Storms and Vapors can be had for 30$ and 17$ respectively.

I hate to say it, but Wal Mart's new knife selection isn't half bad if you can sift through all the crap. The Native of course, which I think it one of the best small utility knives around.

They've got great prices on the China made Buck 37x series, which from what I've seen are excellent quality and good looking little knives too. There's always the Buck 110 for around $30 and you sure can't go wrong there.

Their Victorinox stuff is a bit over priced I think compared to some places but the selection is pretty good.

The Wal Mart here even has a decent selection of SOG multi-tools at a reasonable price.

I prefer to buy elsewhere, but their knife selection is getting better. It's nice to see more quality tools in their display case.

I sure wish that Wal-marts here in my part of canada carried the spyders.

However, not one Wal-mart in my city, has any or knows anything about them, sigh.

Yes, thanks for the link.

However, a tangible item is what i wanted.

Wal-marts near my town did not have Native, but they special ordered it for me.No extra charge, you have to give them bar code from a box
7 16104 00400 3 this is model # C41PBK If this will not work you can call 1-800-walmart and customer service will help you to work with locals.
Good luck. Native is a good knife and for $40 I can not imagine anything better.

The problem with Wal Mart is some of the better knives, like the Kershaw Blur and Storm 2, only come in serrated/combo edges. I've got enough combos and only purchase plain edge at this point. If you're into combo edges, wal mart can be a good place to go for knives. I did pick up a native there last week. The native's clip is upside down in my opinion as it causes you to carry it with the blade pointed up, not down, as in most knives.
