Hi all, my first post in about 5 years I think, and just wondered if anyone could help identify this Hudson Bay. No identifiable markings and only think to go on really is the shape and the metal wedge. My guess given the metal wedge is old Forest King maybe S&N, but would love any pointers if anyone else has any better guesses!

A corollary question: does anyone know who made those Forest King HB patterns that also had the metal wedge?

In case anyone else was interested, I rummaged around on the forum and dug up an answer to my own question. Short answer Collins. Long answer:

"This axe now has more answers than questions! Forest King Mystery solved by Vintage Tool! I've suspected these iconic Forest King axes (the one with yellow/blue label and sky blue paint) were made in the Collins factory because they match Collins shapes, steel and forging. Contacted Council Tool and their CEO confirmed that they were indeed made by Collins, then Mann (presumably still in the Collins factory) and then by Council Tool for a short time."
