I wouldn't call myself a fan but I do consider them a band that I must see in order to complete my list. I have heard GWAR puts on one helluva show but haven't had a chance to experience it,,,,, UNTIL TONIGHT BABY!!!!!!! Its gonna be in a small venue (Pieres) so EVERYONE is sure to get sprayed with fake blood. Im dressing for the occasion, White cargos and a white t-shirt! The chicks are sure to be all over me after gwar :p

If they dont ruin my camcorder than I should have some pretty solid footage. Come back & check it out

GWAR rocks and they are funny as hell. I'd love to got to one of their shows. No matter what you think of their music, you can always go see them just for novelty reasons if nothing else.
 
I saw them in concert October 25th in London. The mosh pit was pretty cool, except for the fake blood sprayed everywhere.
They pulled off Michael Jackson's face after giving him a baby to molest, and THEN they ripped off Obama's head after he gave them the Presidential Medal of Ass-kicking for saving Earth.:D
The pit got even more insane when Lamb of God came on as the headliner. Apparently it was GWAR who first took them on the road around 10 years back. Good times.:thumbup:

LOG is headlining tonight as well. Last time they came around w/ the mighty Machine Head but I left halfway through their set. MH should of headlined that show, Im still disgruntled about that.

I really hope to look like a tampon after gwar. It would be sweet if the blood stained everyones clothes.

what sucks even more about that show was that they even opened for Trivium :barf:

I 2nd the MH & Gwar show, add some dethklok & you got yourself a complete metal up the arss package.
 
The first time I heard of Gwar was from episodes of Beavis and Butt-Head. Strangely, when I think of Gwar, it reminds me of the movie "Empire Records."

Saw GWAR in Mobile, AL a year or so back with Chimaira and Shadows Fall. One of the best live bands I've seen in years. Them and DOWN are amazing live acts. Good times man. Was covered in fake blood.

Saw Machine Head in NOLA awhile back with Arch Enemy. Hell of a band! Been a fan for ten or so years. "The Blackening" Is one of the best metal albums out there.
 
I've seen GWAR with The Misfits twice, one night after another! The first was at Lupos in Providence RI, then at the Paladium in Worcester.
The only better stage show I've ever seen was Rob zombie.
 
LOL, there's more than fake blood........ And the funny thing is, your clothes won't look bloody at the end, but tye dyed.

What a fun show! The crowd was having such a good time! They just earned a fan for life. Seriously go if you ever get the chance.

ps, Bonescrapper, Down certainly is one of the best live bands IMO. Saw them last year & it was without a doubt the best show I saw the entire 365. They were @ Indy a few weeks ago, I planned to go but scheduled off the wrong day @ work :mad:

When I was in High School I saw Rob ZOmbie play a show right when he went solo, he opened for Korn (equal set times) & it was by far one of the most memorable nights of my life. Your right, a most excellent stage show when he goes all out (unlike last time I saw him)

Oh yeah, my clothes definitely have that look goin for em. Gwar sure did get em good. Glad I brought extras, that and it helped me elude security after basically getting kicked out during the end of gwar
 
I saw GWAR in the late 80's and early 90's multiple times (I need to be more careful of who I call "friends", I guess :)).

Not a fan of their music, but the show is worth seeing. Also, you meet a lot of people you wouldn't meet otherwise at their concerts.
