I've carried my ZT300 five or more days a week for about the past 6 months. I've used it for all sorts of odd jobs, from cutting cardboard boxes at work to pruning twigs for tinder.
The only noticeable wear-and-tear on the knife are tiny little scratch marks in the black coating on the blade. Not really noticeable and no big deal.
I do clean it occassionally to brush the dust and pocket lint out and apply a light oil over the blade after I sharpen it. It seems to hold an edge really well (I've cut numerous strands of thick weed trimmer cord and different fishing line with little dulling) and is easy to touch up with just a cheap-o crock-stick or similar pocket sharpener.
I was a little worried that the internal AO spring/parts would be a potential weakness or something that would break down over time, but so far I've had no problems and the ZT300 opens just as smoothly as it did the day I took it out of the box.
Basically, the only gripe I have with the knife is that the "thumbstuds" are too small to be used as such, so you are pretty much forced to use the "flipper" thing only. Again, no big deal because it's a great feature but after years of carrying a folder and practicing to draw a certain way by reflex, you kind of have to retrain yourself a little.
So, in my experience, the ZT300 is a rugged folder that costs as much as a custom but you can abuse it like a flea market beater and it will hold up pretty well.
