Do they run small....people tell me no but im a size 9 normally ,,but a size 10 in asolo feels tight. thanks for the help

I've never used asolo but i think i've heard somewhere that the last they use is slightly narrower than other brands. Some makers have different lasts for different markets. So maybe in another country it might be different.

If you've got wider feet, Scarpas and Meindls are a better bet.

I had two pairs of Asolo high top boots(light to mid weight) about ten years ago. I beat the crap out of them using them for work almost every day and on campouts/hikes. One pair I had to keep putting shoe goo on to keep the soles attached. I finally gave in and called Asolo. I was told they couldnt resole that model so they were going to send me another pair for free. After a long wait they said that that particular model was discontinued. They ended up sending me a new pair of the current line. That set seemed to be too small and I ended up not giving them much mileage.

Havent had time to travel to the CONUS to an outfitter in awhile. Everytime I go stateside it is only for business. Getting boots via mail order is a crapshoot for me.

hummm?

i have always thought that i have fairly wide feet and asolos are my favorite when i need a big, good boot. i certainly could never fit into la sportivas, for example. those italians seem to have the most narrow feet. but my asolos are great. i normally wear a 9 (42) but i buy asolos in 9.5 (42.5) so that big wool socks fit for winter. i have had a pair of 520 gtx (old style) for 6 years now with over a thousand miles in them and they are still great. i play on ice and snow in a pair of annapurnas. they're like humvees for your feet. a little heavy but super stiff (great for crampons) and fairly warm for unlined.

on the other side, i bought a pair of some low top style second hand in my size but they never fit right. toe box too narrow with weird arch.

so, i guess it could be the style where they differ, but i can say for sure that my 520s run true to size and are definitely on the wide end of the scale.

hope this helps.
