Any HOGS or piglets in the Los Angeles area willing to help me sharpen a blade?

Hey guys,

So in the process of stripping and ghetto-satin-ing my CGFBM, I've dulled it pretty bad...while I'm comfortable using a strop to hone a convex edge, I'm ashamed to admit I'm pretty useless when it comes to making a v-edge real sharp...my CGFBM hasn't been convexed yet, so I find myself in need of a little assistance :)

Is anyone in the Los Angeles area willing to help me out with putting a nice edge on my Mistress while I'm in town for the weekend? I'd happily compensate you with cash or booze or an acupuncture treatment in exchange for the help...

I'll be staying at my family's house in Northridge until Sunday morning and am willing to drive just about anywhere in LA county, so if anyone is out there let me know!

Shit, if theres enough interest, we could even set up a little get together. I'm open to it all :thumbup:

Sharpening a blade takes practice, sharpening a FBM takes even more practice. What system are you using? I am all the way on the other corner of the US but would be happy to help you through here. :)
 
ban lives north of you on the SF peninsula. See if he will put a convex edge on it, then you can strop to maintain.
 
I don't know how to sharpen knives what so ever. But live pretty much in Northridge, so if you want to grab a beer, I can bring my small INFI collection for you to check out if you never held any of the blades I got. Plus I never seen a mistress in person. Let me know, I'm around.

That's already in the works ;) Ban said he would when i agreed to take the FBM off his hands, but he's super busy getting ready for Blade so it'll be a little while before that happens. It's just so dull right now, I figured post and maybe meet some cool people in the process...

If I don't find any help, I may just practice and hopefully not mangle the edge too bad :D
