Any hope of sprint run of Chinook?????

Heard that a new Chinook is in the works. I think it's going to be a production model, not a sprint.
 
I briefly had a Chinook 3 and it was just incredible. Flawless fit and finish and insane lookup. Unfortunately it was stolen, I would buy several if these come.
 
I got two pre need replacements before they were dc'd...

I have a Chinook, bought it quite a while ago so I'm not sure if it's a 2 or a 3. It's a very cool knife. I wish Spyderco would bring out the new model in a longer blade so I'd have an excuse for buying another one. Or failing that, one with a black blade which would also give me an excuse for buying another one.
 
I think a new Chinook with the PowerLock would be great! I had the 1, 2 and 3 and I think the 2 was my favorite so far.
 
I'd love it to have a removable wave feature like the one found on the P'kal. I think a power lock/ wave combination would work well together.

I can't speak for the power lock but you'll rip up your pants pretty fast even with just the chinook 3's backlock. Detent on these beasts are pretty positive.
 
Given the level of interest in overbuilt folders these days, I'd think the Chinook 1 would be the one to bring back as a Sprint. That thing was a tank.

There's really only one visible difference, but it's easy enough to spot. The Chinook 3 has a full flat grind while the Chinook 2 doesn't.
 
I really miss the blade profile / grind of the first run of Chinooks.....
 
I would love to see the CHINOOK 3 return.. but please not in S30V again :( But I would drool over one with M390 or S90V>> and I would also love one made with XHP.

The more I think about it I bet the Chinook III model would be super in S3V as well. But please not another one in S30V :rolleyes:
