Photos Any ideas on this?

Folks, first off I want to say “thank you” for allowing me to be a part of this organization. I’ve collected knives for quite awhile, but never really got “into it” till as of late.
My question is that I’ve squired an old JA Henckels and I can’t find any information on model or approx how old it is.
It’s a 2-blade folder, wooden full scales marked with the stick twins, then JA Henckels on the next line, then Solingen on the next line. Both blades makrked the same. Plus on the back is a cork screw. I can’t figure out how to post pictures. (Sorry, I’m old and technologically challenged)..
Thanks again!

Sorry I can’t help you with the knife ID, but I did put together this little tutorial on posting images. It works on my iPad, I imagine it should on a desktop, too. I circled the website name and places you need to click:

Paste the code you just copied directly into the Blade Forums message box where your text goes.

You DO NOT need to create an account with Imgur or log in to one to do this.

Well, JA Henckels was founded in 1731, and they made hundreds if not thousands of different knives with cork screws. Cork screws were not as common in the US, I think, but they were an almost essential part of life in Europe. Henckels knives with cork screws are very common.

Without seeing pictures it's impossible to say anything useful about your knife. Have you tried to do a Google image search on something like JA Henckels 2 blade corkscrew? Might get lucky.

You should be able to find a tang stamp reference for Henckels knives. Be aware, though, that those references are very often deeply flawed.

I'm guessing first half of the 20th century. There were a couple of pesky conflicts during those years, and if you back those dates out of the equation, I think the early thirties makes some sense, maybe the late twenties. It doesn't look post war to me, and I'm pretty sure it's not 19th century.

I'm not highly confident of that date, there are plenty of others who could do a better job and I'm happy to be corrected.

Edit: Member H herder is very good with Henckels knives. Maybe he'll wander by and offer some help.
