I'm in the Des Moines area, along with DDaveLarsen and Iowashtr23.
The legendary Howard Clark is 15 minutes from Des Moines.
Vern Six is in Ottumwa.
JP Miller is in Fairbank.
Vern, Iowashtr23, and myself are relative beginners.
Dave Larsen and JP both make very nice knives and for a long time.
Howard Clark is an ABS mastersmith, but he's very busy.
There are several others that I haven't met, but that's my local list.
