Hello everyone.
Got this knife a few months ago, box says "0651GRS-B" date 12-12-2007, tryed to find any info with no success, can anybody help please? I mean blade steel (420HC I guess?), how many pieces produced, was it the some kind of special run or regular production?
Thank you!

the 651 useing 420HC steel was made for a company down under
with total of over 250 made but thought to be less then 300
guess is that less then 70 remained here in usa?
it had prices swings from 50 up to 200$
then some one sold over 30 on ebay all at once
price droped to 35 and settled to apx 80
total of less then 70 remained here ?

some one off custom versions come out of buck now and then
these command a very high price (450+) with military collectors
it is still a heck of a knife and
now hard to find

Mine is about a month older than yours. At one time there was a thread or two on the knife and if you could find them there is a lot of info on the making of the knife for export to Australia only.

Yeah, I have two of them myself...they're suppose to be quite elusive but, I seen them popping up now and then online too...one sold for $125 a few weeks ago on the Great Auction site with the Romper Room colored 4 letters. It's a handfull but you can't beat it for a heavy use cutter. Pair that up with a Csar -T and you'll do some heavy cutting...

A ebay seller sold one to me for 45.00 plus 5.00 shipping...I think it was the first listing. Then he learned how rare they were and price went way up! I love playing 'pirate' with mine....

I paid $57.15 including shipping for mine. Thought it was a good deal for a rare knife.

Information on the 651 has been an elusive as the knife itself. I did finally locate some interesting facts though.
Buck made 1750 of them and the vast majority of those we sent out of the country. The last ones I saw had a label date of 2008.
