Hi gang. First time over here in the Buck forum, even though my first real edc was a Buck. I was in my grandads garage and found some Buck sheaths. He must have bought a batch of them to use with the Linder blades he used to put handles on. They are embossed with the word BUCK on the front in a downward slant. On the back, half are marked 119S and half are marked 120S. They are tan leather, with a thick welt the whole way around instead of being folded over. They would be new if they weren't filthy. Anyway, I never saw any 119s for sale with this style sheath. They are so well made, I am going to buy a couple wally world 119s to put in them. I always wanted a 119 now I have an excuse. Does anyone know when Buck used these, or if they are even factory Buck sheaths? will try to snap a pic on Tuesday. Thanks for any info.

They were optional / accessory sheaths from the 80's. Here are 2 pages from the 1982 catalog.

Buck needs to go back to this, with the internet, they would sell like hot cakes for current knives, I would love to have a much better sheath for my M124 LE for sure.

I'm with you on these sheaths being top shelf quality. They have always been my favorite, no matter which model of Buck they fit.

Too bad we'd never get them at 1982 prices. They would probably be at least 3 times more expensive than the originals, but for the right Limited Edition or Custom, I'd pay extra for 1 of those sheaths.

Those are the sheaths! The ones on the left for each model. I looked at them again, and they say custom on the back under the model number. Now to get some knives for in them. Thanks!

Welcome to the Buck Forum.... when you get some knives in those sheaths we want pictures.....

I use one of these Buck Custom sheaths for trail riding and around the barn. Took a while to break in, but now I love it. The knife is a perfect fit and slides in and out with ease. The quality is absolutely top notch. I agree, Buck needs to bring these back.

These things are dry, filthy, and probably have some small stains. Any suggestions what to treat/clean them with? Thanks!

Some of the leather guys will be along to tell you how to clean them.

But I have an interesting story. Bought a 110 off of ebay in a clam pack that had been under water in a basement flood. It was stated so and was still in the clammie.
When I got it and opened the clam, it seriously smelled of mildew, as expected.
So I grabbed the lysol can and set to cleaning on it. Had some seriously strange results.

Just the pouch had apparently been painted instead of dyed. None of the black came off the rest of the sheath. Just the pouch. I am a bit more careful now as to what I go cleaning on with lysol.

Interesting to say the least. And the mildew smell did go away after a few saturations.
