I just purchased the Kershaw 3315 Corral Creek Premier Edition 1996.
Does anybody have any kind of information on quantities made or even if it is a limited edition.

One side of the blade is stamped with "PREMIER EDITION 1996" the other side of the blade is stamped "Pete Kershaw"

Not sure what makes it a premier edition, but with that date it would have been made in Japan probably with AUS6A steel. I'm sure it's a little better knife than the current offering made in China.

This will be the last time I'll post anything with language that says "not sure" or "probably" lest someone believe I know more than another who happened to have nothing better to do at the time than perform a google search and link to an obscure website (not to a participating vendor's site BTW, the link may be removed) with contradictory information. However, in an attempt to keep things interesting or perhaps discouraging, according to Wikipedia that the Kershaw factory in Oregon opened in 1997. So a knife with a 1996 date, based upon my feeble understanding of the calander year and arabic numerals, was not in fact made in a factory that had not yet been built.

It's not a matter of conjecture or assumptions, but a case of information published on the internet being inherently unreliable.

I was going to post a picture or two of it, but i don't see where i can post a photo, except a hyperlink. I have a couple photos on my computer, maybe someone can lend a hand.

Yes, your info is unreliable. From Wikipedia.org:
Kershaw Knives was started in Portland, Oregon in 1974 when knife salesman Pete Kershaw left Gerber Legendary Blades to form his own cutlery company based on his own designs...

Please don't quote out of context, that doesn't help anybody. The entire paragraph on the history of Kershaw from Wikipedia reads:
Kershaw Knives was started in Portland, Oregon in 1974 when knife salesman Pete Kershaw left Gerber Legendary Blades to form his own cutlery company based on his own designs.[2][3][4] Early manufacturing was primarily done in Japan. In 1977, Kershaw became a wholly owned subsidiary of the KAI Group. In 1997 the U.S. production facility was opened in Wilsonville, Oregon. Due to an expanding market, the facilities were moved to a larger production site in 2003. Currently, Kai USA manufacturing facilities are located in Tualatin, Oregon with some goods coming from their Japanese and Chinese factories.

According to Wikipedia, the factory in Oregon was opened one year after the OP's knife was manufactured. It's not my intention to mislead the OP by saying that the knife was probably manufactured in Japan, I made the statement based upon the information readily available to me. If that info is unreliable that's fine, but there's no need to be condescending, if you've got a more credible reference than Wikipedia, please share that information.
