First post long time troller... I have been looking at a Parker Brothers Axe Knife combo just cant find any Info about it on the net. How rare are they? How Is the quality and fit compared to the Case set? What would be the approximate value in unused condition? Any help would be great I have always wanted to replace a case axe knife combo my father had but don't have that kinda cash plus I would want to use it.. most of the Case sets are in pretty bad shape a working set you would be to afraid of loosing or breaking.. Thanks guys..

Never heard of it. I'd bet dimes to dollars that they outsourced it to some established maker. It's probably OK and I'd grab it just for the novelty if it's not priced ridiculously high.

Pictures would help.

Sounds like this is it:

Parker Cutlery Rare Knife Axe Combo . 9 3/4" overall length interchangeable knife axe. Surgical steel upswept skinner and axe blades are etched with eagle logo and features Parker Brothers Chattanooga, TN. tang stamp with eagle logo. Smooth bone handles with duralumin guard and pommel. Pivoting aluminum blade locking bar. Mint condition. Includes brown leather belt sheath with axe storage compartment. This extremely scarce Parker Cutlery Knife / Axe was produced in Japan in the early 1980's.

Thanks for the push guys!
I won the bid last night on ebay for the mint parker knife axe combo got it for less than a beat up Case would go for, but no sheath but may send it to LF leather in ogden ut. to have one made. The knife axe seller is Jim Parker Looks like part of his collection he is selling I think he is the owner/ family of Parker bros. one of his auctions was offering to sign a one of the parker bros books.. anyway will give a report when the knife arrives...
p.s. its looks same as the one steve posted and in the same condition...
