I had a table next to his at Blade in 03. His knives are nothing like anything else. He has his own style which will take him far.

thanks bruce....i like the style of knife he does....i like something off the beaten path.....i appreciate the response.....i have a feeling not too many people here have a knife from him but maybe someone will chime in...ryan

I have a knife from Rik Palm, but it wouldn't be much help to you! ;) It's a twist Damascus "Mousy" - a tiny neck knife Rik made for a few collectors last year. :)

I have a Friction folder and a few on order ..but i havent followed up with rik
i need to pick up the phone
he is a Talented Maker

a few on order....interesting...please post pics when they come in if at all possible.....would love to see em.....ryan

Rik lives near La Jolla......He is a professional video guy with a very delightful imagination.

I have known him for a number of years, and he sends me pictures of his stuff all the time........

Some of it, I love........some of it, I dont love so much......but he keeps experimenting and thats what I like the most about him!!!! :)

The easiest way to get quite a lot of information on Rik Palm would be
to refer to his two page section in my third book:
"The Art Of Modern Custom Knifemaking", published in 2006.

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

A few of Rik's pieces have special places in my collection. His talents are quite diverse and he makes excellent blades of all types.

The wallet mouse looks great. When he finishes his current orders and starts taking new ones I ought to grab one.

Here's an impressive piece I noticed on his website:

Rik does great work! He had quite a bit of contact with me when he was starting out, but I haven't heard from him in a while.

i am quite a fan of rik's work, but i haven't seen much lately. i own this railroad spike/damascus knife and a wallet mouse that i unexpectedly found in my letter box one morning! with the railroad spike knife came the head of the spike as a pendant and some pictures about the making of the knife. rik is an extremely nice person!

best regards,
hans
