Does anyone know if the DMT-C4A is still made and if so where can I get one?? I want to use it between the 1200grit X-fine and the 8000grit XX-fine stones with my DMT Aligner. I know it probably isn't really needed but going from 1200 to 8000 always seemed like a big jump up in grit.

That stone was made for doing microbevel/deburring, the stone is also slightly thinner so it automatically does a micro with the aligner tool. It's works as intended but does not work for complete bevel sharpening.

How much thinner is it?? I m guessing i could make a shim out of cardboard or something to make it equally thick as the regular aligner stone. I still cant seem to find them in stock anywhere?

Try calling DMT. They might still have either samples or warranty stock.
