I spoke via email with the lady (I believe) at Emerson when I heard they weren't gonna make the cqc-12 anymore, and she told me that they definately would be making them again.
I don't know how many years it's been now, but it seems like a lot. Anyone have any info on this? -Mr. Emerson?

Also, why doesn't EKI just make all thier knives, or 7/10, frame-locks? -Would they not begin to dominate the industry far beyond what they do now?

It will happen when it happens, one thing you need to go along with your Emersons is patience. :D

I've been waiting for a new run of 12s to pop up for a while as well.

like they say, they'll be out when they come out.

as for why not all framelocks? to get the for sure skinny ya would have to get with ernie, but imho its because the demand isnt there, lotsa folks who will choke up whatever a CQC8 is running now wont choke up the extra money for a framelock, and are happy with the liner lock, i would wager if the demand was there they would make 'em, ya have to remember that the knife nuts on BF(& elsewhere) are a very small % of the buying public, most folks are shocked to see $100 knives, much less stuff thats higher.

IIRC the '12 & HD7 has never been big sellers, probably due to the price.

personally, i love the '12, its my favorite production by far, and the price doesnt bother me at all, having spent $1200+ on custom stuff, but like i said i probably dont represent the typical buyer.

i also like the HD7 but not as well as the '12.
