Any info on this axe?

Any idea when this axe was made or if it’s a good one? It has true temper stamped into the head and is definitely pretty rusty, but doesn’t look like it got used much. The handle is lacquered, no ribs in the eye as far as I can tell.

Yes this is a good user, probably 60's so not too old or too recent.
The quality of True temper axes lasted longer than just about everyone else, when mann edge and everything they made had been declining true temper was still hanging on.

Condition looks great, just remove the rust , sand and oil the handle , and sharpen it and it'll be good to go.

Great to hear! I was hoping for a good user. There’s just something fun about double bit axes.

On closer inspection, it does seem to have ribs in the eye and 3 2 also stamped on it. I was thrown off by the condition at first, I honestly couldn’t tell if it was a newer axe or had just been sitting in a barn for ages. I guess it’s just been sitting waiting to get used!
