Any info on this knife?

I think I bought this at a gun show back in the late 1980's, I think I only paid $20 or $25 for it. Any idea on production dates or how many were made? It has a Victorinox tang stamp.

Mauser was the gun-factory that made the famous 98K carbine for the german army during WWI and WWII (Just for info). Out of their origins came later Heckler & Koch which are also very famous for their guns nowadays - the H&K G36 is made by them which is used at the german army nowadays.

Just a little historic background if you are interessted.
