I just picked up two schrade lockback folders. i think they are old. the handles are imitation ivory and they are scrimshawed one hase some bighorn sheep on it and the other has two bison. the model #s are sc500 on both boxes. any info would be appreciated and if anyone knows the value.

They made these scrimmed in numerous animals and many variations, the 80 tys or 90 tys 30 to 50 dollars ( each) unless you have something rare. This estimate is for the large LB-7 type model. ( the boxes help.) This would also be the range for the brass liner lock 225 types of patterns. (NOTE these often bring less on ebay ) Your handles are imi ivory Schrades, name is micarta which in effect is a brand named material called delrin which is a type of plastic. Funny it sounds less exotic than Imi Ivory. There are so many variations that really a picture would help but in general most fall into this range. ( NOTE extimate is for unused knives used knives worn ect of course affect value ). Sorry I could not pin the date down but without a pic it makes it tougher and there were a ton of these type issues. perhapes one of the other guys has a listing for these two. Nice knives to display and add to the collection. Good hunting LT PS I just remembered they did a buffalo edition that came in a wood box with a tiled bison picture on the lid that set would be worth 50 to 100. That set came out a little later.

Two bison is from 1979. Cant help with the bighorn (1980?).
Value? I have no idea. See them going 10 and up on e-bay.

thanks for the response fellas picked them up for 5 bucks apiece they are still in the wrappers inside the boxes.

Heck Ill give you 25 for the pair and whatever postage. Where do I send the money order. 28.85 should send them priority. Heck again, call it 30 even for the pair and postage. LT
