  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Any info on this True Temper?

It's a late TT. I don't have firm dates of when TT started with the small number and letter codes. Perhaps late sixties or later. The eye ridges and codes were not there on an example I had from 63 or 64 though.
The FSS specs are available online. I think 1080 steel satisfied the steel spec. Anyone please correct me if I am wrong on that.

Not too terribly old, 70's sounds about right.
Wire wheel the rust off, put a new handle and good edge on the bits, and it should be a great user.

Looks like a Kelly made True Temper. That big 3 with a smaller 2 probably stands for a 3 1/2 pound head. Earlier Kelly axes had 3 1/2 on them.

It would say KELLY on it in that case, this axe was made long after the name was changed to TT due to the eye ridges and relatively flat cheeks.
That's a 60's+ axe.
