This knife sold on eBay yesterday. The price, looks to be very high to me - without a box or bling.
Anyone have any information on the Jim Bowie knife... Ken.

i thought i had it but couldn't find it and looked in Schrade R Us and couldn't find it either plus tried the search function here. but if i recollect the tang stamp on this one is not a Schrade Walden tang stamp but one used by the Taylors to make it look like it is an older knife. and yes it is a bit steep for a plain jane knife with no bling.

I sold one with complete bing about five years ago and it brought about $125.00. I remember at the time I was shocked because I had bought it for about $30.00.

I've always noticed a wide price range with this knife. I believe it was made by Imperial in the 70's but not certain.

I am not interested enough to look for it, but it seems that I read a thread sometime back which explored these knives. What I think I remember was that there were a few made with gold, silver, etc. furniture and these could go for BIG money.

Wasn't that the Kentucky Rifle Commeratives for AG Russell?

I think I can remember cleaning the silver on one;
as I rubbed the silver came off, and it was a gold colour under the silver. Ken.
