So I was browsing ebay and posting in another thread about some large Tramontina Bowies (of which I have one), and just for the heck of it checked ebay to see if any were listed. I didn't find the Bowie, but I did find a pair of new old stock Compass Hunter's from Brazil, they look to be they same type of build/materials as the Bowie's. Decent carbon steel blades and pommel but cheap plastic faux stag handles and guards that are not tight and tend to have a rattle and very cheap genuine imitation leather sheaths. I bought them for a BIN price of $12.50 shipped which I think was a good deal. If the handles seem OK, I will just replace the sheathes, found some on ebay that should fit for under $10 each.
