Any issues with removing the clip from my small Sebenza?

I find that the clip digs into my palm a bit when I hold my small sebenza. And I tend to keep the knife in a large KSF slip pouch - and it would fit a whole lot better without the clip. So I'm thinking of purchasing one of the titanium inserts and removing the clip.

Anything I should be aware of before I do this?

Just make sure to get the right size insert and you should have no problems. You can evren go without an insert if the looks don't bother you.

The clip came off quite easily - and now the knife fits perfectly in the sheath, not to mention my hand. I've ordered a small Sebenza titanium insert and another tube of grease.

My first foray into cleaning and greasing my small Sebenza took four applications of grease. It didn't need four applications - I just kept making errors. Fortunately they only need to be greased every few months - Chris Reeve grease is a bit pricey.

I think about the only problem you can have is mashing the screw head so just use a quality, well fitting tool to remove the screw or any screw for that matter. I personally tend not to use the provided wrench but a tapered 2mm hex bit. They sit snug in the corners and cause less deformation than one can see with a standard hex wrench. :)

Small Sebenza definitely has a different hand feel with the clip removed. I've gone back and forth between clip and no lanyard or unclipped with lanyard. But even with the clip it fits in the CRK slip sheath just fine so I can have the best of both worlds.

The only issue I see is making sure you keep up with the clip! Too many Sebenzas on the exchange with missing accessories.

The clip is in a zip bag in the box, along with all the other items related to this knife.

Of course, this one is not ever going on the sales board. Just not going to happen.

I thought that as well about some of my Sebenzas , until I started getting more and more of them. Lol...

You do have a good point. But I'm pretty sure this one is staying with me. It is the only modern folder that's in my pocket nearly every day.
