Visiting Juneau for about a month and wondered if there are any Juneau HOGS around?

Drove from Anchorage to Haines and then took the Ferry to Juneau.

Saw 3 black and 2 grizzly bears between Hanes Junction YKT and Haines AK.

Chilcoot lake was a nice place to camp for the night waiting for the ferry.

Oh yeah, Anyone have one of these???

Alaska is so stunning, and I've only ever seen photography of it. I would love to go sometime and see it for myself. Great pictures

I went to Alaska last Fall. I can't wait to go back. My wife and I are talking about moving up there in a few more years.

I spent 7 years working the Alaska Pipeline...in my off time I lived in Homer on Kenai Peninsula...its Beautiful....

If you really need someone to hang out with in Alaska just me know.;) Might not come back home though.

Hey Dave, Last time I was through Haines waiting on the Kennicott I hung around up at the lake as well. Great trip Bro and be sure to go the Mendenhall Glacier, ERA use to fly sightseeing flight and land you up on the glacier. Have fun Bro cause that is a great trip. Oh and cross over to Douglas Island cause you will get a great view of Juneau from across the channel. Later:D

Mulder, I am down in Petersburg if you are continuing south.

I recommend riding the Tram up the mountain in Juneau. Don't remember what it's called, but you can't miss it if you are downtown. Also, don't forget to tour the Alaskan Brewery!!

I'll let you know if I get a chance to head south.
Visited the brewery on Saturday and had a feeeeeeeeeeewwwwww.
It's the Mt Roberts Tram but I think I'll hike it instead.

Went for a 9 mile round trip hike yesterday to Herbert Glacier, only saw one black bear in the trail.
I may have to stay here a while as my car broke down and not sure I can get anyone to fix it???

Herbert Glacier in the background from the ocean.

The Glacier from mile 4.5 of the trail.

Trapper & I at the end of the trail.
This pic was taken fron the base of the hill in the lower right of the previous picture.
You can hike closer but with a new hip this was far enough for me.

Man your car is in rough shape. Hope you have good insurance. LOL

Awesome pics. Really beautiful.

That is beautiful country. Maybe next time I am in Alaska we will have to head there.

Yep, planning a trip very soon! I can't handle the photos, they just make me want to pack a bag and disappear.
