I have heard that there have been some H.I. Karambits made.
Any pics? Will there be more?

Thanks,
john

Welcome, John:)

Your best bet is to send Yangdu an email. himimp@aol.com She'll be able to tell you what she has in stock, and what is going to be in stock. You better hurry though. She's gearing up for a month long trip back to Nepal.

As an avid fan of the Kerambit, I carry my 'bit more than any other HI piece. It's so hand to keep tucked away in a back pocket on my belt. Mine is from the second run from some 3 or 4 years back. I've been tempted to see how the newer versions made by the newer kamis compare:)

Once again, welcome.

Welcome to the forum , John

Uh Oh, Looks like somebodys Got the K-Bit Fevah !!!

Once you get one, you start thinking of all sorts of handle materials.
I'd like to see a 6" or 7" model in highly polished jet black WB horn.
Or maybe one in carved satisaal wood or hill walnut.

And to answer your question:

Of course there will be more.
It's just a matter of when and how fast you can shark it.

I had one. It was from one of the earlier runs- I don't think the first- and had a beautiful olive wood handle. I ended up selling it to a forum member here, but I don't remember who.

It was a great knife, and I know how fortunate I was to snag it. The Cantina has to be the only place in the world where I would give up something I loved just because I know someone else here would love it more. Ya'll are some special people. :)

fun! I just ordered one with a Horn handle.
Will post pics

I inquired about this awhile back and I'm Sorry,I should've said that Yangdu will take orders on these if you happen to want one specially made , i think they can make em' any size too.Handle material is somewhat subject to availability, unless you have some slabs you want to send to Nepal.

It'll cost you a bit more though and ya lose out on all the fun of sharkin' a DOTD.

Can't wait to see your pics.

and yes this is a one of a kind place , good guys here

Did you guys have trouble with rough edges in the Ring?

I'm knocking mine down with some 1500C Silicon Carbide paper.

Mine had a little roughness on the finger ring which knocked right down with some sandpaper. I had to tighten the sheath up a little with a bulldog clip which improved retention. This little knife has proved very useful and a bit of fun. You have now been exposed toi the dread HIKV. Just wait till ya get one of the kukris.

I actually have two Khukuri.
12" and 25" Sirupati...love them.

Sadly...I'm selling the HI Karambit already.
Found some other custom knives I want.
