A friend of mine gave me a Kershaw and asked if I could find some info on it, the knife is a Kershaw 1005 outdoor knife. The box says it's new for 1985 and is new in the box. I can post pics up in a little while or email them to someone.the knife has serrations along the spine and I was told it has a survival kit in the handle, ill have to look when I have some time.

Anybody know anything about it? Or heard of it?

Dave? :D

Thanks, Troy.

Spine should be cut for use as a saw. I believe they originally were packaged with some survival info cards. With some Google-fu you should be able to find a list of what came in the handle. Was there anything specific you wanted to know that we could help find the info if no one knows off hand?

After First Blood came out the market was flooded with these Rambo survival knives. Kershaw also made a giant Crocodile Hunter knife after the Crocodile Dundee movie. Most of the Rambo knives were junk but I have heard the Kershaw is good quality and some saw use in the Gulf War.

Wow! Thats pretty cool! Whats more is that it's in great condition and you still have the box. It's probably worth a pretty penny to some collectors. I'd hold on to it.
