Any knife blocks for a single knife?

I recently picked up a nice Japanese kitchen knife, and need some place to keep it. I've been searching online for a block that only has a single slot in it (because I'm OCD that way), but can't seem to find one. Anyone know where I can pick one up? Thanks.

I have never seen one. It would not be hard at all to make one for yourself. Two pieces of wood. Channel out a slot for the blade. Glue together. Cut one end at an angle and glue a base. Stain and seal.

Have you considered just getting a saya for it?

Check out some of the stuff Burke Cutlery has. I just got a passaround knife that has one of his sayas with it and I am really impressed.

Corwise, whats up, did you find something? Pics? Another thing I just thought of is CKTG sells a cleaver stand that may work as well.

The butcher and restaurant supply stores sell extruded plastic blade covers in various sizes. The covers can be modified to fit the knife. They can be shortened, and the ends can be slanted to match the shape of the bolster.
