I am brand new to knife making and am not sure how to locate suppliers of metal for hobby knife making in the brooklyn/staten island new york area? Also the work area for queching and heating knives. If i were to quench knives in my kitchen or garage(it's attatched to my apartment building) I think I'd have half the NYC firedepartment at my door in a matter of minutes.
