Any Knife stores in Philadelphia?

I only know of one and it is not really in Phila. It is in the Montogmery Mall, outside of Phila. It is a Herders Cutlery store. It is OK. Some production knives but no customs. Other than that you might want to try AWMA (Asia World Martial Arts) in China Town, if they are still around.

The only one that I know of is "Just Knives" in Williamstown, NJ. They're at (856) 875-5100 and about 20 minutes or so from the Walt Whitman and Ben Franklin Bridges. Never been there, though.

There is one about an hour outside of Philly. It is called Country Knives, located in Intercourse, PA. It is awesome, but very MSRP (expensive). They have great customer service and a huge selection.

The Army-Navy store on Grape St. in Whitehall (near Allentown PA) has a decent selection and prices much better than Herders. They also have several D'Alton Holder knives in stock - beautiful to behold.

Man, I don't think there are any either. I just flew up to Philly on business, and because of recent events, I didn't pack any sort of blade. Figured I'd just buy a cheap knife here, and mail it back to myself via post.

No knife stores that I can see. Looked in the yellow pages. I even went to K-Mart, where I've always found at least a Gerber, Uncle Henry, Old-Timer, etc.

Nothing. Not a knife in sight. Really a strange feeling. Back home, you can't sneeze without hitting a store that sells knives of some sort.

Although Pennsylvania is a knife friendly place-Philadelphia is not. Stores like Kmart and Walmart which are located in Phila. suburbs carry limited knives. Those located inside Phila. city limits often do not.Anyway FWIW here are some.
Remington store - 8th & Market st. Gallery mall
Remington store-Franklin Mills mall- I-95 north to city limits
Herders Cutlery & Remington store-I-76W to King of Prussia
Goldergs Army Navy 900 chestnut-Phila.

None of thse places are great but you do catch a sale sometimes. Also this info. is a couple years old so may have changed.

Don't forget that Intercourse and Bird-in-Hand are also very close to Blue Ball. Kinda seem to go together, don't they? ;)

The only store I saw in the Gallery Mall was a kitchen cutlery shop. I guess I could have strapped a Ginsu steak knife to my calf with a rubber band.

I found the Golderg's Army Navy store the day I left Philly. Too late to do me any good though.
That was a bizarre feeling when I couldn't find a knife in K-Mart.

It appears the Remington store in the Gallery-8th & Market is no more but there is one located at 1322 Walnut st. in Center city.
