Any knife under $200 is fine for an EDC, expensive knives are unnecessary

You simply just don’t need to spend that much on a knife. Now there’s the argument that it will last you longer if you spend more, but that’s not necessarily true. I’ve had a Civivi Elementum for over 2 years now. It was only $70. After 2 years of use, it’s still insanely sharp, opens smoothly, and has absolutely zero blade play. I’m not saying cheap knives are always good. For example, I have a BSA knife that was $20. Absolutely horrible. A lot of blade play and does not hold an edge well, I also got a Gerber Pledge for $25 dollars. It had almost zero blade play, opened fast and smoothly, and the only reason I don’t have it anymore is because it got stolen. All I’m saying is most normal people don’t buy crazy expensive knives and nobody should be shamed for buying cheap knives that actually do well.
