I'm looking for a knife that has a chisel grind and a V-Grind, on same blade. Kinda like a "combo edge" except a different type of grind, not just serrations..

It would not be a difficult modification to make. I did that awhile ago for a friend who wanted the region near the choil chisel ground to enhance precision wood carving.

Bob Terzuola offers what he calls a Step Grind on some of his folder models. It's not chisel/V grind, but it is, a thicker grind towards the back end for a stronger edge, and a thinner grind up front for more delicate cuts.

Jeff Hall does something I haven't seen elsewhere. He uses a chisel grind on the point of the knife to about 25% down the blade, to where he switches to a chisel hollow-grind. Here's a picture from Nosamk's site where you sorta see this:

I'm not even sure what you call a chisel hollow-grind, where one side of the blade is hollow ground and the other is vertical as in a chisel grind. I put this edge on a chisel I was playing with and it was an amazing push cutter. Maybe it would be called a razor grind (I don't have my straight razor handy and can't remember if it is hollow ground on both sides or vertical on one side).

Anyhow, the Bounty Hunter I have is extremely sharp, and I presume the tanto-esque style at the point would be a good penetrator (I haven't tried to poke anything with mine).

Most razors are hollow ground on both sides, many japanese blades that are chisel ground have a hollow grind on the primary cutting face instead of a flat grind. Some other ones have a hollow grind on the back and flat grind on the front.

It seems I have read that Busse and Emerson knives have different grinds on each side of the blades.

I think they called the busse grind an asymetrical grind??
The Emerson is a chisel grind, dunno if that can be considered as two grinds.
Anyone help to shed some light?
