Farrier's Mobile Shop:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7188596597

I've been toying with the idea of a mobile forge and power hammer. Something I could move around as needed. I've drawn up a few designs, but nothing satisfactory.

Obviously, a farrier has a greater need...but I like the idea of being able to set up for demonstrations around the area (there are around 50 annual craft shows in my area).

I first started thinking about it after seeing the mobile power hammer at the 1st Moran Hammer-In up in Maryland.

It's not for everybody and there's sure to be complications regarding setting up enough power to run tools....

Just wondering if anybody else has seen anything like this - but used by a knifemaker.

You need to talk to Billy Watson of Watson Knives in Deatsville Alabama. He has a mobile 25lb. little giant that he takes to shows run by a hit and miss engine all mounted on a trailer. It sure is neat. Tell him I sent you.

email sent to Billy - thanks, Ray.

wish I could remember who it was that had the power-hammer at the hammer-in...
