Any Knifemakers Around Jackson, Mississippi?

Moderators: I don't know if this is the right place to post this question, please move it if not appropriate.

I am living overseas in Frankfurt, Germany right now and will be coming home to Jackson next week. I know from family in the area that there will be a gun show next weekend and am planning to attend. So I was wondering if any of the local knifemakers would be there?

If possible, I would like to locate a local maker that would be willing to give a complete newbie a few pointers. I will be bringing my first knife (yes, the dreaded first knife) back to the states with me and try to get it heat treated while I am there. So, I was hoping to get someone who knows what they are doing to look at it.

I think most anyknife maker there would give you a bit of time especially if you are military on leave. Most knifemaker are very willing to give a newbie some advice. Some even have short one or two day classes. They charge a fee for these but, not usually to steep and well worth the time. Good luck and enjoy the show.
