Any knifemakers in Central Wisconsin?

Can anyone suggest a knifemaker in central wisconsin that would be able to discuss the trade with a newbie? While I anticipate starting with kits, I would like to progress to "stock-removal" and basic heattreating at some point, but I've figured out that I learn more by doing under instruction than by reading and trying myself ...

There are a number of makers in Wisconsin. Ed Brandsey in Milton. Bob Kolitz in Beaver Dam. Dave Ricke in West Bend. the list goes on. You can find a listing of 24 makers from WI in Knives 2003.
