Any knives similar to byrd wings?

The Gerber Double Take & the Spyderco Mini Dyad.

I will have to think this one through a bit I guess

Spyderco mini-dyad - I like this one best, but it seems hard to find non-pearl versions, and they are on the pricey side, no pocket clip as well
Byrd Wings - too big for my pocket's tastes
Byrd Wings Slipit - Second favorite, but no lockup
Gerber Double Take - Questionable blade steel, no clip, I am not a big fan of gerber products (cheap though)
SOG bi-polar - High price, no pocket clip

I might have to just relinquish the urge to buy and move onto something else. It's only a matter of time (I hope) before someone comes out with a double-bladed knife that I really like.

Kershaw also makes something similar, athough both blades are PE. It is also a more traditional styled knife, although both blades do have thumb-studs for one hand opening. It is available with a clip main blade and either a spey or wharncliffe second blade.

I was also looking for knives with this basic idea as I think the partially serrated blade is a marketing gimmick that is not a great blade for any application. What also irks me is when I see a two plade knife with one plain blade and one partially serrated one. Why partially serrated that other blade when you already have a plain one? If I only had one blade it would be a plain over fully or partially serrated. Often the need for serration IMO is to make up for not having a sharp enough plain blade of high enough quality steel.

On the Dyads there was the fully sized one that is not in production, then the Mini which got replaced by the Jr of the same size but adding a clip and changing the handle material, and the smallest is the Micro. I plan to get the Jr. I'd also like something cheap something to put in a checked bag that I wouldn't miss as much if a baggage handler or customs agent stole it (the latter can happen when your bags get lost and arrive later). The Schrade that Nagod mentioned is the in their X-Timer line (such as SCHDLB).

Gerber also has (in addition to the Double Take) one called Mini-Remix 2 that has both blades pivoting from the same end.

There is also something called Dual Blade Spring Assisted knife w/ Fire Figher medallion (Trademark Knives) that I might miss even less than the Gerber Double take if it were stolen from a checked bag.

The Byrd Wings is a good knife. I had one and I liked it.

My first thought for you was to look at a Swiss Army Knife. Obviously, you can get a number of blades. Some are one-handed opening.

I ordered a Dyad Jr (in my previous post I had it backwards between the mini and the jr about which one has the handle clip) and think its a great edc. I think this one out of the box is too sharp for my 600 grit whetstone. I am going to have to upgrade my sharpening system. One thing to note is that knife does not one-hand open that well with the left hand.
