I keep looking for a video with footage of it actually in action, but persistently find none. Anybody own this or know of any reviews that don't pop up when googled?

Thanks fellas.

Any tomahawk designed for breaching should not have a hole in the head. It makes no sense what so ever. I have no hands on experience with this particular tomahawk, but I know enough about functionality in modern tomahawks and design features to say that this hawk is mostly gimmick. I also question their choice in steel as well. I made a similar comment in another post on a different tomahawk but this is a case of marketing a product with style rather than substance.

The handle feature was taken from a Winkler Knives II axe designed for extrication, FWIW. The Gerber doesn't seem to have the "can opener" feature of the WKII though, so it's kind of a moot point. I'd really like to see someone put one of these through the paces, but the price still has me    -ing

If your familiar with the photographer that goes by "stickman" he reviewed one in his Facebook page. It did well. I'll stick with my Shrike.

Very helpful comments - thanks! Might just have to get a few CS 'hawks. Then I can throw them/abuse them without concern of price. This might still be a good one to keep in the bugout bag...

The cold steel line of traditional hawks is a fantastic place to start. I bought 2 and came back to buy one of each model. They need some modding and tuning but that's what makes them fun.

If you want a breaching hawk for cheap buy the Smith & Wesson extraction and evasion tomahawk. 1075 steel, full tang, and built like a tank.

Is that kid like 12? If that wasn't a rotten pallet he wouldn't have had the strength to bend or come close to breaking that thing.

It looks like a toy. Most of the breachers I saw didn't use a "hawk" they used a shotgun, a sledge or explosives.

The one guy I know that rolled out with a hatchet to use for breaching, came back in the morning with the head in the nice kydex sheath and the handle in his pocket. He tried to open a window by slamming it into the bottom of the window sideways and prying up on the handle.

He said it was going pretty good until the handle snapped at the head.
