Any uses a Krein in the W&S forum?
I am thinking of getting this one in A2. How do you think the design of the ultimate caper would do for bushcraft tasks?

Tom Krein makes excellent knives. He's got the fit/finish, geometry, ergos down pat. He makes various designs.

This one would do fine for EDC cutting tasks. It is a small, slim and narrow knife so for cuts that require powering through wood as in removing large quantities of wood in one cut when carving. I would prefer something with a beefier handle.

Awesome knife. Should handle any bushcraft task that is suitable for a knife.

Fuzzy sticks etc are no problem.

He has other models that are much better suited: PSK, Bushcraft, and XL Bushcraft all come to mind immediately. All three models can come with either: Full Flat Grind, Full convex Grind, or Scandi edge. I have made a fuzz stick with my PSK Scandi Grind and it worked very well.

I was able to handle a Ultimate Caper in a passaround. In my opinion, it is not the best choice you could make for bushcraft.

i love my krein , he sure makes a great user i have two scandies , one 3v and another in d2 both really easy to clean up and keep sharp.
