Any large hawkbills, other than Civilian, currently available?

There have been some PE Civilians. Look for one from the sprint run in carbon fiber. Also the Superhawk is coming in the future, with a compression lock and peel-ply carbon fiber scales last I heard. So nothing in current production, but something big planned for future production.

*swoons*

Having taken a break from these forums and knife collecting during the Spyderhawk's run, I am extremely glad to hear about this.

To the best of my knowledge, no date has yet been set. Also, the SuperHawk being yet a prototype still in development, you have the same chance of seeing a photo of that knife as flying to the moon unaided. :D

FWIW, I am also DYING to see this knife!

Though I haven't handled one yet Cold Steel released a SAN MAI III knife that's called the Black Talon, should be interesting.

(Warning: what follows is my personal, highly-biased opinion and will tend to p*ss off CS fanciers. Don't say you weren't warned...)

The Cold Steel Black Talon is little more than a ridiculously overpriced rip-off of the Spyderco Civilian; I have no use for it whatsoever.

Superhawk??? Gee I wonder if this is the one that they talk about on the big thread on Spyderco.com :D  >> CF handle would be great but I would also savor a nice G-10 handle similar to the one that was on the Gunting.

Wow?? is the Harpy totally out of production? Now I know that the Tasman is still be produced. I guess I've been up in the wetlands too much here recently. Yes that's right the place that ate 2 of my Hawkbills.

Oh by the way Doctor>> I tend to agree with your assessment of the CS copycat:rolleyes:
