Any left-handed Gunting owners?

As with many of Spyderco's "Collaborative" efforts, the Gunting caters only to right-handed folks in its placement of the clip. I'm left-handed, and like both the concept and the execution of this knife.

Are there any left-handers out there with a Gunting who can describe how they adapted the knife to their needs? Kydex pocket or belt sheath? Clip reversal? (Gotta tap the screws into the steel liners, cut out a divot in the G-10 on the opposite side, and fill in the divot under the existing clip attachment point, so it's a lot of trouble to switch the clip.)

I've had Spyderco knives for almost a decade now, beginning with a left-handed Police Model, and progressing through the different generations of Clipits with reversible clips, and I appreciate the fact that they cater to left-handers at all. (Until recently, they were the only ones who did, though nowadays a few other manufacturers make folders with reversible clips.)
Best.

I am a leftie ,but, I decided to carry the Gunting on my right side and use it right handed. This gives you the advantage of utilizing our strong hand, not only for passing or checking, but also for punching.
Since the majority of people are righthanded, using the Gunting with the right hand makes it easier to access a better target, such as the inside of the attackers arm instead of the outside.
Using the blade with your weak hand also makes it easier to grab your Glock with your strong hand.LOL
It will feel strange until you perform enough repetitions to build up a long term muscle memory.

Hi Sawbones. Welcome to the Spyderco forum.

I would guess once we catch up on the right hand "live" & "trainer" models, then we'll be able to add the "Crmipt" and "left hand" versions.

Thanks, everyone.
Sal, if you really intend to come out with a left-handed version, maybe I'd do better just to wait for that instead of buyng the right-handed edition and "making do".
One more question, though: What's a "Crmipt" version? Thanks.

Sawbones,
I'm a lefty, carry it in a Kydex(got a lefty Kydex from Terry
at Fourcycle)! I have no problem ! I've also learned to use it righty,"love it"!By the way(secret, but all of his students know it)Bram is a "True" lefty,he just teaches righty!Really have some fun when you teach both ways!
jim ;)

crimpints are models w/unsharpened blades for use by corrections officers in prison - differs from the trainer by having sharp edges, etc on the horn, handle, etc, not rounded to reduce pain when used like the trainer .......
