Any love for Cowboy Hat traditionals?

I have never even seen one of those before despite living in Texas! With that being said, I have no pictures to add:rolleyes:

Just got my pre-order reservation in. Comes in black smooth bone also.

What about flat-cap traditionals?  ;)

All cowboy hats are traditional. Just some more than others. And to keep this traditionally knife orientated, I traded two elk handled, double hollow ground bowies for this one.

I've never even heard of such a thing. The first photo looked like a taco knife to me. Kind of made me hungry for tacos. It's a ridiculous design concept, but also kind of neat.

I don't know much about them but I suspect these hat shaped knives were primarily intended for marketing purposes. They probably weren't carried for normal use. Give them away to customers and the knives will end up in a drawer... forgotten until searching the drawer for something to cut open a package or envelope. Then the knife serves its purpose and the ad does its magic. Time to buy more hats! ;) :D

I'd also like some tacos. :)

Wow, I'm actually shocked to see there is some history / precedent for these. Thought for sure they were just some silly RR gimmick.

How about armadillo shell?

I actually like those "armor hide bone" covers that RR does, if that's what you mean. Have a canoe in that style and it's got great texture and grip.

The original one was the lovechild of an armadillo and a German picklehaube owned by Otto von Bismarck. The armadillo had been kept alone for many years. It escaped during a visit to an East Prussian menagerie in 1892 and attacked Von Bismarcks helmet in a rage of passion. The resultant chimera was exhibited throughout the crowned heads of Europe until it passed away at the battle of Murmansk due to a chronic case of exhaustion after a lustful encounter with a landmine.
