I had a really nice mini trapper for a while, a Cozy Glen/Queen City in red wormgroove bone with a brass acorn shield. Really well-put-together, excellent little knife, but way, WAY too small for me. Gifted it to a friend, and successfully got him interested in decent cutlery.
Don't know about love, but I like Case Mini Trappers. I have one in my back pocket right now, in fact. I carry them vertically beside my wallet, so minor variations in weight or bulk are not especially noticeable. I find that a Case Small Texas Jack is slimmer and lighter, though. Different blade configurations so it depends on what you're looking for.
I enjoy carrying this older version (1975) of the Case 6207 as it has a Pen blade in lieu of the long Spey and the main blade is of an ample size Clip - only down side is Delrin handles. I did buy a new one to keep as a spare and it has real bone handles (a feature I like a lot), but it came with a Spey secondary and a smaller Turkish Clip main. I like the blade configuration in the older version better. I do own some full size Case Trappers, but as has been mentioned, I find them larger than I prefer for EDC use. OH
I really want to find a mini trapper that I love. I've never owned one, but I love the pocketable design. Great photos in this thread..Thanks for sharing!
After seeing this, I had to get one. Just picked up a Case mini trapper in CV with yellow handles from local hardware store. Forcing a patina with yellow mustard.
