Any love for the 5OT?

It’s a great little pocket knife, slim, slicey, saw cut green delrin, brass bolsters yet still very lightweight, pockets well, pinned pivot instead of swindon key so easy to adjust, it’s just a solid usable carry that doesn’t get much attention. I believe it went under the moniker “green bruin”.
The Uncle Henry variant is also nice, I have one of those and it came with a belt sheath though it’s unneeded, stainless blade, nickel silver bolsters, and staglon covers.

I have an old green one I picked up on the 'Bay, but misplaced here somewhere. I also have one of the well made new repros. It's a good convenient size for carry and has a lock for those who insist on such.

Personally, I think the 50T is absolutely fantastic! 👌🏻

JonMcD JonMcD Let's see that 50T! 😁

That’s a cool one!

I’m a big fan of the 5OT. Handy little lockbacks, and they can still be found for not too much money. Seems like it’s a little tougher to find the carbon steel ones (I like you see a lot more of the Schrade+ ones), but they’re out there. I picked these two up at the Badger show a couple years back.

This is technically a 515C, but it’s the same knife. That’s just the designation given to the scrimshaw version.

I picked up a little 3OT a while back (slightly smaller than the 5OT), but I guess I don’t have a pic of it. And then, of course, there’s the Big Boy, the 51OT, shown here with a 5OT for scale.

I am a fan for sure, but never owned one yet. They've been on my radar for a while, and I've even bid a few up on ebay, but never been able to connect.

One of the new reproductions I see.
Who is making new reproductions in the USA? Bear and Son?

I have an IHEA version of the 5OT. 2 3/4" Schrade+ blade, Staglon handle, leather sheath, and IHEA blade etch and collectors pin. I like the Sodbuster Jr.s too, but like a little more acute tip.

I don’t know who is for sure, someone else may be able to answer that, from what I have heard, the new USA old timers are of very good quality, but haven’t handled one myself.

That IHEA Uncle Henry is the same as the one I have, I bet I got that one 20-25 years ago.
