Can I hear your opinions about the ASEK? The doesn't seem to be a big group of fans for this blade. Still, whenever I grab mine, I can't help but like the knife.
I have a blade, a saw, a hammer, a glassbreaker, a belt cutter, not to small and not to big.

ASEK is a good one , but i got a ontario 499.

both are good for camping activities . may be ASEK more multi-functional , but i like leather handle a little bit .

I have virtually every flavor of this design: ASEK, 499, SP2 and SP25. I like each for different reasons, but the ASEK's sheath is my favorite. However, the SP25 is probably my favorite of the four "cousins" as far as the actual knife, as I find the combination of handle material and the steel butt cap more ideal for camping purposes. I wouldn't really want to use the saw on wood, and I don't anticipate having to cut my way out of an airplane.

It's a highly functional tool, and a great kit as issued but dang that's an ugly SOB. Like the SPAX lol. Works like a champ, ugly as can be.
