Any love for the CRK Tanto

I've been considering getting either a Sebenza 21 or Umnumzaan Tanto. But I've not really seen much posting about it on the forum.

Does everyone just not feel the love for the tanto????

They're a great blade to use, but can be harder to resell than a drop point or Insingo.

I had a small tanto once and a tanto Umnum. I really don't get it myself but having said that I might like another small someday just to be different.

I love my Umnum, like the tip for opening boxes etc and still have the main edge for other work

I was really wanting a tanto Umnumzaan!! But the lockbar really dug into my finger on closing due to it being pretty sharp. Maybe I was doing it wrong?

Now I keep going back and forth on a large 21 tanto or insigno....

I really love the shape from the tanto, great for my EDC tasks. Really a great blade profile.

Anyone have both a tango and Insingo? What do you like better? To me the cutting edge is similar, although the tips are different.

Insingo in my opinion is more practical all around blade shape. I've had all 3.

Insingo is one of the most practical, smartest blade designs around! Look at how many manufacturers have loosely copied it since its release!

I had a Large 21 on order but when I realized the Tantos were available, order was cancelled. Now I have a Large 21 Tanto and a Umnum Tanto. Next up will be a Large 21 Tanto Micarta. A grail find would be an old Pivot Umnumzaan Tanto. The search goes on!

Here's the last tantos I have in my collection. One is #5 of 10 limited edition for TNK when CRK first introduced the tanto Zaan.

The other is a BG-42 Large NICA Sebenza.

Agreed. From a purely EDC/Utility aspect it's one of the best designs.

I like the CRK tantos, although it's more an aesthetic than practical thing. May have to pick one up eventually.
