Any love for the Lone Wolf Harsey T2 Ranger?

I've been eyeing the green/black Micarta scaled Harsey T2.

I hear they are pretty good knives but I'm curious about the value as well.

I have the Cocobolo version and it is a nice knife but given the chance to do it over I would have purchased a different knife. The liner lock is not as substantial as I wish.

Have you looked at the T3 Ranger? I have that one, and it's a great knife. It's very sharp, and holds an edge well. I've used it to make small chunks of wood for fires, chopping small tree's down for hiking sticks, cutting can's open, and general abuse that probably shouldn't have been done to any folding knife. But this thing has held up to it all, and kept most of it's edge throughout. If you can deal with the fact that it's a little larger, and costs a little more, then I'd recommend you take a look at it.

Thanks for the tip

I have a Harsey T2 with green micarta handles and 'ranger' blade. Not sure if they are still available from Lone Wolf anymore. It is a really good knife--nothing fancy, but well designed/executed. No complaints whatsoever.
Good ergonomics, great blade design, sturdy construction, good fit/finish. I didn't like the pocket clip so I ground it off. But I do that with most pocket clips. Most of the time I keep it in a belt sheath or coat/vest pocket. Blade is wicked sharp and holds an edge well. Opens smoothly. Liner lock does seem a bit thin, but it hasn't failed me yet with 'normal use.' I don't torture my knives. If it were my only knife, I'd be a happy man. I may get the bigger T3 at some point, but that is a seriously big knife for a folder.
For around $200.00, I think you are getting good value for the money, but you could probably accomplish many similar tasks with a $50.00 knife just as easily.

Go to Keenzo.com.

I got my Harsey T2 Cocobolo there for about $135. If they have the knife I want I will always buy there. Best prices and fast shipping.

I agree completely with what "Rotte" said. I have three T2 Rangers. One that I use on a daily basis and the other two are in survival kits. These knives are some of the sturdiest knives I have used. They are extremely well built and very sharp right out of the box. They also have a limited lifetime warrantee.

Oh, by the way, I also have a T3 Ranger, and this knife is a beast.

Great knives and a company that stands behind their products. What more could you ask for ?

Thanks! Now I'm trying to decide between a T2 or T3 and an H&K Snody

I have a T2 tactical PE blade with the green and black micarta. I love it.

Knifeworks has 'em.

Here's another option, the Beretta BH Tactical Knife... a few of us here bought these during the summer on closeout directly from Beretta for $100. It's made for Beretta by Fox (Italy), it's designed by Harsey and very similar in size to the T2. The liners are titanium and it has a flipper too.

I'm mentioning it because I was on Beretta's site the other day and they still show this model on sale.

Here it is next to my Emerson Mini Com.

Great tip - thanks!

I just bought four of them. Two large and two small. I can use one or two as gifts! Thanks again.

I have a T2 in black & red micarta on the wish list, but the CPM-110V Shallot's going to be my next knife without a doubt.

I've heard nothing but good things about Lone Wolf knives here.
