any lube options that don't attract lint?

I love my Seb. I edc it. But one issue, no matter how clean my pockets are... when I go to wash the blade, the lint/dirt in the pivot makes the opening gritty. I use a gun lube, Hoppe's. Anything out there that can get the job done so I am not taking the Seb apart every few days? Thanks.

CRK's lube works fine for me. I've gone several years of EDC at a time without breaking the knife down.

Use it sparingly.

I feel that you are going to have lint problems with just about any lube but you can reduce the amount of attraction by using some different types. I've used the CRK stuff, CLP and Militec-1. Militec-1 that has been heated with a hairdryer seems to work the best. Less lint and dirt. It seems that it is cleaner of the three. CRK cleans up fine but the CLP needs some extra soap/degreaser and brush to get all the left over residue. And to top it all of Militec-1 seems to be a little smoother when dry; I find this true only if you lube all metal to metal contact points and dry it. For example, the Sebenza CRK breakdown instructions informs you to not put lube between washer and Ti handle. Well, let me tell ya if you don't you are not going to have a smooth action. Metal to metal contact needs lube. If the idea is that the Ti handle has enough grip to stop the washer from rotating then they are out of their mind. Lube is too stuff, the machining is good stuff but dirt, lint and whatever else just gets in the way. Plus, metal on metal rubbing is just not good.

I sound like a Militec-1 advertiser. Well, since I'm at it. The small .5floz, I think, will last forever! You could clean one knife per day and it would still last months.

White Lightning does not collect much lint. Any dirt or lint that gets in there comes out with bits of the lube. That was the original design intent for it - used with bicycle chains. It keeps the chain lubed and clean, as dirt just comes off. But this same property requires you to reapply the lube periodically to replace what is lost.

Thank you all! I think I will give Militec a shot. Thanks for the indepth write up Xcel.

Don, I have tried that and I still got lint. :(

Tsiloica, the CRK stuff left some hard residue at one point so I decided against it.

The best I've found for pivot joints in folders. A very small amount goes a super long way too. I've had my little 1/2 oz bottle for two years now and its not even half gone. It leaves a dry film that lubes without attracting dust and dirt. The other suggestions given are excellent too though.:)
